PB cells, called the lead-acid Battery (Lead - Acid '), is a kind of common chemical power source. It is composed of a positive plate, a negative plate, an electrolyte, a separator and a battery housing. PB battery uses lead and its alloy material as the active substance, with sulfuric acid as the electrolyte, has a high energy density and stable output performance.
Europe is one of the leading continents in utilising Li-ion batteries in multiple applications, including stationary energy storage, rail, marine, truck and automotive. For the energy storage market in particular, the leading countries for the deployment of LiIon batteries are: Italy for T&D grid support, Germany for PV self-consumption, and France in the island grids. Most suppliers of Li-Ion batteries are from Asia (Korea, China and Japan), but there are several European manufacturers of Li-Ion batteries and grid-connected Li-Ion storage systems. The other main European players are the so-called integrators that integrate Li-Ion battery modules from different battery suppliers together with inverters and control systems.

 part of the PB battery

               1. Positive plate: The positive plate is usually made of lead-calcium alloy material, and the surface is attached with lead oxide, which is used as the active substance when the battery is discharged.

                2. Negative plate: The negative plate is made of lead-antimony alloy material, and the surface is attached with reduced lead, which is used as the active substance when the battery is charged.

                3. Electrolyte: electrolyte is an important part of PB battery, mainly composed of sulfuric acid and water mixed in a certain proportion. In the process of battery charging and discharging, the electrolyte plays the role of transferring charge and maintaining the stability of the internal pressure of the battery.

                4. Partition board: The partition board is used to isolate positive and negative plates, prevent short circuit, and allow the electrolyte to flow between the positive and negative plates.

                5. Battery shell: The battery shell is used to hold the internal components of the battery and play a protective role. Battery housings are usually made of corrosion-resistant, high-strength materials.

                6. Valve control system: The valve control system is a key part of the PB battery, which can effectively prevent the battery from overcharging and overdischarging, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the battery pack.
