1. WoW Mobile Pet Battles
So, what do we know so far? It’s a mobile game, it’s Warcraft-based though not necessarily World-of-Warcraft-based, and it probably involves 3D environments. The top theory right now is that the game will be a WoW pet battle simulator, but given Wow’s pet battles could easily be ported over to a mobile app with the existing game assets, this is unlikely given their need for brand new 3D environments.

2. Warcraft AR
Then, it could also be the Pokémon GO styled AR mobile game that was teased years ago. This makes sense together with the job opening for a 3D environment artist. But, I wouldn’t give this theory much water either, unless their planned release date is at least a couple of years down the line when people are hopefully out and about again.

3. World of Warcraft RPG
Alternatively, it could be an RPG game similar to Diablo Immortal set in the World of Warcraft universe. Since Blizzard’s already shown that it can pull off such an ambitious project, it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave their Warcraft mobile game the same treatment.
4. Warcraft Mobile RTS
It’s worth noting, however, that the majority of Warcraft titles are Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games. The Burning Crusade Classic expansion is set to launch globally on June 1 at 11pm BST, 3pm PDT, 6pm EDT, and 7pm BRT.

Meanwhile, Blizzard has announced that BlizzCon 2021 has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and instead plans on holding a global event for the early part of next year.

This marks the second BlizzCon event to be cancelled due to the pandemic. BlizzCon 2020 was meant to take place in November that year, but it was eventually cancelled in favour of a virtual event dubbed BlizzConline, which took place in February 2021.

The bike shown above is the “learner level” Honda CB125R. New for the 2020 model year, it’s an entry-level bike offered in many parts of the world that, by all accounts, is well-built, well-finished, and well-suited to the task of shuttling new riders to and from work, home, and school. With low curb weight, decently responsive 125cc engine, and a top speed of around 60 (ish) MPH, too, it’s exactly what you’d expect a 125-class bike to be. In profile, the upcoming Honda electric motorcycle looks an awful lot like the CB125R. In profile, the new motorcycle seems to make use of the space in the frame that currently houses the existing vertically-mounted single-cylinder engine and fuel tank for battery storage. Like Harley did with its LiveWire, Honda seems to have the electric motor mounted low in the frame, about where the CB125R’s crankcase and transmission lie, with a similarly-located sprocket shown in another patent illustration (below) sending power to the rear wheel through a chain-drive. One interesting aspect of the patent filing seems to address a common criticism of the CB125R’s current design as an ICE-powered bike — namely, the “shoulder vents” found on either side of the headlight. On the current line of CB bikes, these vents are non-functional. According to these filings, however, Honda will use those vents to circulate cooling air around the battery pack.

Granted, patent drawings don’t always resemble the finished product and any or all of this could be a ruse to freak out the Yamaha and Kawasaki guys, but it really isn’t like Honda to put something on a bike purely for aesthetic reasons. I mean, not since the mid-1990s Magna cruiser made its debut with fake chrome “cooling fins” on the engine, anyway. If that’s really what those vents are for, though, then it means that Honda has been planning on releasing an electrified version of its CB since at least 2019, when the first of the modern CB line of bikes (the CB1000R) hit the market … and THAT sort of long-game thinking does seem more like Honda, doesn’t it?

Players should concentrate on looting tier two and three supply chests from places like Cutlass Keys, Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Weaver's Fen, or most northern locations. Keep in mind that looting these chests doesn't guarantee the starmetal-braced storage chest schematic will drop as they contain other potential loot as well.

On Tuesday, Amazon gave producing its own video games another try. After more than a year of delays, it released New World, an online multiplayer game in which players join factions, fight monsters, fight one another and colonize a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2018, Amazon ended development of a sports game called Breakaway, acknowledging that it “didn’t achieve the breakthrough that made the game what we all hoped it could be.” In 2020, it took the rare step of killing an already released game, Crucible, after the multiplayer game was panned as a “hollow and forgettable experience.” This April, it canceled a planned Lord of the Rings game after a contract dispute with the Chinese tech giant Tencent, with which it was teaming up to produce the title.One oft-cited reason for Amazon’s struggles is that the typical mind-set of big tech companies — taking an analytical approach that involves throwing money at something, scaling up and hoping for results — does not work in a fickle, artistic industry like gaming, where users are quick to criticize and slow to embrace new entrants.

Fans of World of Warcraft will be pleased to know that the latest expansion, ‘Shadowlands’ was announced during BlizzCon 2019. There isn’t an official release date as of yet for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Game director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed that the title will drop at some point during 2020 though.

From the impressive trailer Blizzard displayed, we can see Sylvanas making her way to the Ice Crown Citadel for a faceoff with Bolvar. An impressive fight ensues but Sylvanas is simply too strong. Once Bolvar is defeated, Sylvanas removes his crown and destroys it. This results in the sky ripping open into an orange expanse.

Players will have the chance to explore several new zones on offer. We know that four of these zones will be leveling zones for players to progress through as well as a central player hub called Oribos. Finally, an endgame zone called The Maw will be available.

One of the other big features that were announced is the inclusion of Covenants. Each zone is ruled by a faction that you can assist. Faction-specific rewards can be earned for helping out as well as class-specific abilities.

You can also choose to align with one of the covenants once you have completed the main campaign. This unlocks the faction-specific abilities permanently as well as a unique armor set.

An endgame system can also be unlocked that gives players the ability to carry on with their adventure with a progression system called Soulbinding, We still don’t have a lot of information on this though but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.Eight new dungeons and a raid will be added to the game with this expansion. We know that four of these dungeons will be unlocked initially with a further four unlocked during leveling. One of the dungeons is said to be ‘endless’ and will play similarly to a roguelike where players will encounter a randomized dungeon each time they enter.

The level cap will also go through a change during this expansion with the maximum level now being 60. The level of existing characters will be condensed to fit in with this new cap, the example being, a level 120 character will now become a level 50. This leaves room for the progression of your favorite characters.

This evolution of the leveling system should take away some of the fatigue players are starting to feel with character progression. With the cap being reduced, each level will feel more meaningful with skills being unlocked along the way.With new zones, new characters and a new story for players to delve into, Blizzard can’t really go wrong here. New players will also be able to start in a dedicated starter zone until they hit level 10. They will then be able to jump into any of the expansions they wish. Once they have progressed through all the way to level 50, they can start their adventures in Shadowlands.

At BlizzConline, I spoke with WoW principle game designer Jeremy Feasel about this mount, including how it came about, why it's so unique, and how it connects to the wider lore.Blizzard launched a player survey some time ago asking fans what they would like to see from a new mount, allowing them to vote to determine what it would be. The idea was to work closely with the community in a new way to help players feel a greater sense of connection to Azeroth and the Warcraft universe. Some of the other options in the survey included a giant book you could ride, a kitty cat made of jelly, a caterpillar, and a creepy spider.

The Wandering Ancient was the most popular choice by far, Feasel said. "By a wide margin, everywhere, riding a giant walking tree won," he said.

Fans of The Lord of the Rings are likely familiar with big walking trees with the Ents, but the Ancients are also a central part of the Warcraft lore and Night Elves specifically.

"There's this mythology of riding on top of a giant tree," Feasel said about the portrayal of giant walking trees in media like The Lord of the Rings. "But also, Night Elves have this long and extensive lore about ancient protectors and ... it goes all the way back to Warcraft 3. I feel like there is a sect of the player base that has always wanted to ride one of those things. They finally got their way."

The Wandering Ancient is among WoW's largest-ever mounts, and as such, Feasel said players can expect it to feel very unique in that respect. "This is the mount for stomping across the landscape," he said.The Wandering Ancient is also unique in that it will change colors with the seasons--check out the animated GIF above to see that in action. Additionally, its special ability shakes the tree and different color leaves will drop off depending on the season. Feasel teased that the Wander Ancient mount will also feature some "unique extra little things" to be announced later.

One of these surprises may have already been revealed. If you look closely, you'll notice that one of the mount ideas that didn't get enough votes--the caterpillar--actually has a home on top of Wandering Ancient mount. The bug is positioned in a place that looks like he's controlling the mount, which is a nice touch.

Disney appoints woman as chair for first time in 98-year history

She was formerly an executive at global investment firm Carlyle.Mr Iger, who stepped down as Disney's chief executive in 2020 after 15 years in the role, will leave the company by the end of this month.

"As I step into this new role as chairman of the board, I look forward to continuing to serve the long-term interests of Disney's shareholders and working closely with CEO Bob Chapek as he builds upon the company's century-long legacy of creative excellence and innovation," Ms Arnold said in a statement.For the last eight years Ms Arnold has been an executive at Carlyle Group, having previously held roles at consumer goods giant Procter and Gamble and fast food chain McDonald's.

"Susan is an incredibly esteemed executive whose wealth of experience, unwavering integrity, and expert judgment have been invaluable to the company since she first joined the Board in 2007," Mr Iger said.

Her appointment comes as large companies are moving away from management structures where the chief executive and chairperson roles are held by the same person after pressure from corporate governance experts, investors and, in some cases, regulators to separate the two key positions.

Mr Iger's exit marks the end of an era for Disney, who has been in a senior role at the company since 1996.

In his time as chief executive Disney made a number of major acquisitions, including the takeovers of Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox. In 2016, the firm opened its first theme park and resort in mainland China.

Several other Disney executives have announced plans to leave by the end of this year, including studios head Alan Horn, president and chief creative officer of Disney Branded Television Gary Marsh and company general counsel Alan Braverman.
